Stage 4 is ok

Well i picked up my car from the dealer today, they couldnt find anything wrong... I put in octane booster right when i got there and went for a ride, everything was great, no ping/knock but i am getting 3 points of knock retard at about 100 miles an hour. I am still getting the rich code but from what i heard alot of people are getting this, especially in FL maybe it has to do with the hot weather. Im guessing when i get the cold air it will then run fine. But all is well.

except for the clutch, its fried, that my next purchase, so which clutch is finally working correctly?

Thanks for everyones help!

Mines doing great so far, knock on wood.

Other than the Crank sensor hiccup, where the car went into limp mode and tach died. Started the car up after that and it was 100% fine. Been fine since.

I even ran at the track for the first time in my life. It was a searing hot day high 90s from 10am-2pm, pulled off best time of 13.6@103, highest trap 13.7@104. Wheelhop was killer, def. need some tranny mounts. Could def. do better, especially on a cooler night. I can only imagine how bad the heat is for you FL guys.

Glad to hear you finally got it running good. Best of luck with the setup. Now we just need our 2.5"ers!

Don't know if you switched to colder plugs with the stage 4 or if it was already suggested to you in other threads. I know after the stage 2 was installed on mine, I got some bad hesitation and sputtering below 3k rpms. The NGK BKR7E's seemed to fix it for me. The sputtering was at it's worst in the mid-afternoon, I'm sure the heat around here had something to do with it. Stage 4 could only run worse than mine with the stock plugs, I'm sure.

yes my car went into limp mode once as well.... i gapped the plugs a little bit smaller, and everything seems to be fine with them and the octane booster, must have gotten some bad gas....

on a second note my aeroforce gauge died for about 5 minutes, so add me to the club.

its not the heat as much as its the damn humidity down here, my best time was 14.087 before i burnt my clutch so i wont be going until i get a new one.... =/ kinda sucks but it will give me time to put some more miles on her before i keep beating on her. Its capable of so much more, im th inking springs will help with wheel hop as wel...

Haha, wish I had a $ for everytime I heard that around here.

Been trying to get out to Bithlo, but can't seem to slip away from work. I have done a couple runs with a G-Tech (after stage 2, before the 2.8) on a back road around here (obviously not prepped well ). 14.2 @ 104.9 was my best. Wheel hop and tire spin was killing me, but I've finally got my CAB's installed, so I need to do some more runs.

BTW, you going to the dyno day in Clearwater July 1st? I'd like to see what your putting down with the stage 4.
