stage II help

quick 2 questions, i am having stage 2 installed this weekend and it will be my second mod (airbox mod #1). Im no mechanic, so could someone tell me if i will have to put the bottom of the airbox on when i take it in (is there any work to be done where the splash guard will have to be removed?) And how much do you all think i will be losing on stage II without exhaust... i wanna get one but i do some long treks on the highway and that grumble sometimes hurts my head after a 7 hour road trip, advice?

They shouldn't have to take the splash guard off for any reason while doing the stage 2 install. You won't be losing anything from stage 2 by leaving the exhaust as it is. I wouldn't think you would have any problems at cruising speeds if you go with an aftermarket exhaust, or even with the GMPP exhaust. During acceleration it would sound nice though. My next mod will be to get the GMPP catback performance exhaust. There also is a GMPP catback touring exhaust which is a little lower decibel then the performance which maybe just what you would want.

The stage 2 kit is made to go with the stock exhaust...but an aftermarket one will help! and add to the sound
