stage kit need some opinions

zzp/ottp/gm ???? I have been trying to research to find out what the best stage kit is to go with, but I cant decide on one so I thought I would get some opinions...I would like a kit I can put in myself and not have to go anywhere to get a re-flash or tune, just bolt it all on and go type thing... I want to start pushing some HP...So shoot me some ideas...

u cant just bolt on a stage kit and go, it has to be tuned. A stage kit comes with fuel injectors and when you upgrade the injectors you have to change the tune. Especially if u get any of the kits from those vendors, they come with 60lb injectors and when i was at my mechanics shop to get tuned we wanted to see what the car would do when we just put in the injectors, had a hard time starting up, started and then stalled in 5secs or so

If you still want to get the kit then go with OTTP

If you want hp increase without getting a tune then get header, downpipe, full catback exhaust system and a cold air intake

you can bolt on ottp kit they send you a pre tuned pcm? BUT, it isnt a perfect tune. you can still bolt it on and go. It would run fine. Stage two from gm is like 1100 if you let them do it for you+tune

well if you go with one of those zzp or ottp kits it comes with the pcm right? or I send mine in and they have it back within a week I heard? so If i did that when I got the pcm back I could just put the kit and pcm on and go right?

I was thinking of getting the stage 2 gm kit and I have a spec 2+ clutch get that installed at the same time but I bet they would rape me on the stage 2 and the labor for everything.........

yea, your looking at paying $500+ just for the labor of the clutch.

Any canned/sent in tune is NOT going to be perfect... All 3 of the kits that you're looking at will have safe/rich tunes.. You'll see more gains with the OTT Stage 1 as it comes with 2.8 or 2.9" (i forget) pulley with 60lb injectors which is amazing..

ZZP comes with a 3" pulley and 39lb injectors.. Why those injectors, I'm not sure..

You'll be happy with any of the kits, I'd go with OTT, thats just me.

If you don't wan tto have warranty worries, go with GM.

If you want the kit that most people are happy with, go with OTTP.

OTTP's setup is probably the best one out there. If my car hadn't come with a GM stage 2 on it when I bought it, I would have gone with OTTP. I'll get around to getting it one of these days.
