Stage kits question!

Hello all. I was thinking about adding the stage 2 kit but then I thought, eh I want more boost. So then I thought about getting the stage 1 kit and adding stage 3 pulley? Isn't the stage 1 kit the same as the stage 2? except in stage 2 you get a pulley? but everything else is the same correct? So I'm just wondering if what I want to do will work. Stage 1 kit with stage 3 pulley... thanks for your input.

just make a custom kit. pully, tune, and belt. also depending on how small of a pully you to you'll need some cooling mods. you're also going to want to get a header and downpipe to really take advantage.

or you can get the ottp stage 1 instead of the gm kit.

Stage 2 also includes a smaller belt which you would need.

Yes it will work..

Along with the smaller belt, as wannabe had mentioned...

Is it the best thing to do if your not worried about warranty... no...

Yeah but people were telling you to make a custom setup with belt, tune, and pulley. You need the fuel injectors too. That's all I'm saying.

Buy from OTTPerformance.

You get pulley, injectors, tune, belt and plugs. All for cheaper than any dealer would charge. Not to mention a lot better performance.

i know the headers will make a difference, but will the down pipe make a difference? i believe the stock one is good enough 2.5" for a better flow.

Just to clarify things up you do not need the stg 2 belt if your not going to run under 2.85.... I have the 2.9 and have no belt slippage at all. ive seen people run a 2.85 and some get slippage and some dont... so if you at going to run the stg 3 pulley with the stg 1 injectors/tune.. you wont need a belt for the time being...

^^^I might be reading your post wrong. But whenever you go to a smaller pulley, you will need to go to the GM Shortened belt. Some also do an oversized tensioner pulley as well to help with belt slipping.

u dont not have to go to a smaller belt unless it smaller than a 2.85, i have seen people run that small of pulley without the stg 2 belt with no slippage.

Yes, the Stg2 belt is recommended for anything smaller than a 3.1 but i am currently running a 2.9 with no belt slippage at all. on the OEM belt.

honestly if you can build ur own kit . injectors, belt, puelly and tune then do that if u can get everythign but really dont have anyone to tune you at the momment get ottps stage 1. thats what I did and I love it no problems car is pretty quick now and more to come. so yeah all depends on whats avalaible for you and ur funds and what you really want. if you got any questons about the ottp kit pm me anytime

I figured they wouldn't noticed the pulley size. i would just tell them i have a stage 2 kit with won't bother the warranty or change the pulley back if anything.
