I just so happen to have bought a Eco tec motor to swap into my cavi, but am gunna be gettin a SS S/C in the comming months... so now i have sumin to do with it.

The pistons on the LSJ are in fact hypereutectic CAST units. With a high silicate content it allows them to rival forged units in terms of weight and strength yet have excellent long term wear characteristics. The only real knock on hypereutectic pistons is their tendancy to "catastrophic" failure, should they be pushed significantly past their design limits. For these reasons proper handling of hypereutectic pistons during building is even more important- a small "ding" due to mishandling during assembly can form a fissure that can lead to early failure.
