stage2 numbers ???
thats crazy. must be in OPTIMAL conditions and at sea level. my buddy has an 07 ss/sc with CAI, Corsa catback, stage2 w/ 3.1" pulley, methanol AND hp tuned. it put down 235 hp and 209 tq..
any way they should be more than that but it depends on your car.
Must a been a mustang dyno, I hear they always read lower than the others.

Yes,
I am not knowledgeable enough to provide you with all the differences or specs, but GM/Manufaturer specs have to do with the fact that those numbers come from being measured at a different place in the acceleration process (crank vs. wheel hp). Also, it depends on the dyno (dynojet vs. mustang dyno), mustang dyno's tend to read much lower.
The point is (and what I can tell you for sure) is dyno numbers are for judging gains. If you're car only does 200hp on the dyno after modifications... so what... because if you applied those same factors to a different car, say an SI, the numbers would be more comparable. The mistake people make is they dyno their car and then they compare it to magazine stats of other cars or claims by different cars dyon'd on a different dyno under different atmospheric conditions and think they have a weak car. Some cars on here are dynoing about 236-245hp on a mustang dyno, but those same cars are out beating 350z's and pacing STi's.
So, the answer is yes, but it has to be a before and after dyno on the same dyno under the same conditions both times.

DING DING DING!!!! I hate the power loss up here with the fire of a thousand suns
. Good news is, no one's immune from it. A boost controller can mitigate it on turbo cars, but you can only crank it so high before you have a 10,000 mile motor on your hands.
