start then no start HELP

ok so my dad went and started my car yesterday to move it he said it started fine then shut it off then later on i went out to start it to go to work it started for a sec then shut off went to crank it over again and nothing, i can feel the crank turning just sounds like no spark. now i replaced the plugs 2 months ago with NGK step 2 colder plugs ive tried to jump it and it does the same thing i dont know where to start on trying to get it started i thought about smacking the started with a mallet but if the crank is turning then the starter isnt messed up right ?

Did you check to see if your fuel pump is working?

Remove the plugs and clean the carbon off them.
Your dad starting it and shutting it off before it got to operating temp fouled the plugs most likely
These car run really rich and on cold starts its really bad.
