If I Were To Get Stage 2 Cams Or The Gm Race Cams What Do I Do With The Cam Sensor? They Say The Cam Sensor Vaccum Pump Wont Work For The Gm Race Cams.

 

You would have to plug the oiling hole near that sensor and either run standalone engine management or put up with 10-15 second cranking cycles.

My suggestion, as a few of us have done, is to get a reground done on your stock cams and shim the lifters to restablish stock lifter height.

 

You may want to have another daily driver if you plan on installing the race cams.

my daily is a 94 ford tuarus...best daily ever....anyway the shims, are they sold or is it something i'd have to fab? really my main question is i like the way your cam sounds. but i'm guessing without head work its pointless. would you by any chance know anything about the jbp cams? are they decent and how are the gains? or even stage 2 cams? cuz rite now the closest thing to the custom 272 hks evo cams is the gm race cams which i believe are at 268.
