Question STG 2 Question, a real one, lol

So I got my STG 2 put on and I have to be honest I am not all that impressed. I have not got the tune done yet. The dealer could not get me in until wednesday. For anyone who has done the pulley and injectors before the tune. Is the tune where you will feel the power? Honestly I hope so otherwise I am not all that impressed with STG 2. Just my opinion. Thanks all!!

I would hold judgement until you get the tune. Otherwise you cant really say you have the whole kit installed.

The flash will make the hardware will shine. The ECM isn't calibrated for the injectors and pulley.

Then get the pulleyboys 2.8" BIG increase!

Wait till you get the tune, right now your rich under WOT. The injectors without the stage 1 flash is gonna make less power than stock.

You will feel the power after the reflash & plus the extra topend to 7000 rpm as it's real nice to have that extra rev to push it to second gear & so on

Who installed the kit as I'm not to shure I'd drive it alot till you get the flash done as it has to run some what crappy & not to mention rich as hell?

stage 2

dont drive it without the flash.
baby it to the dealership get the flash then open her up.
think about it you would feel no difference without the flash.
your blow off valve is going to kick all the extra boost produced with the smaller pulley. and with out the flash your redline is the same.

no more drving until the flash!

I babied mine from the shop that did the hardware, to the dealer for the flash.

No need to worry about it much without the flash though. Just don't get onto the gas. Nothing will be hurt by puttering around normally.

Ill tell you from first hand i raced another SS SC Tonight about 5 times at the drag strip. MySS SC is pure stock with all the goods on the car. Spare tire also in trunk. and he handed me my Butt. Was like when he got in 2nd gear the thing really picked up and by the time he was in 3rd was like i was putting on my brakes hard.

The tune will make the car run a lot better. Like stated above the car is not tuned properly to the larger injectors and is probably way too rich. I just put my PB 2.8" pulley on today and WOW. This thing pulls hard now. Holy ****.. My car pegs at 16psi and holds at 15. Before with the GM 3" pulley my car was pegging at 14.5 and holding at 13psi. The thing really whines now. And the PB 2.8" pulley is incredibly light compared to the GM 3" pulley.

Your freaking crazy if you even go into boost without the tune. I didn't bring the car past 3000 rpm until I got the flash. You're looking for trouble if you don't wait until the ECU flash is done. The flash is what makes the stage 2 trust me!

this thread makes me laugh.
why in hell would you test out stage 2 without the flash???
stage 2 walks a stock or mild cobalt by 3-4 cars depending, do yourslef and the car a favour, dont boost until you get the flash, if it was my car i wouldnt even drive it until the day i went to the dealer.

I'm not driveing it now. I couldnt get it into the dealer until wednesday. The dealer wanted 800 to do the whole install so I got it done somewhere else. Did'nt seem that strange to me, people change thier injectors and pulleys without re-flashs all the time. This is why I asked the question.
