If it's free why not, is it the one that says STI on the muffler, careful cause some ******* will probably think your car is an STI lol. Intimidation factor. haha. Line it up yet?

the sound of the STI came from the Boxter engine if you put the sti muffler you will never sound like a STI...

Obviously....

My thought is that it won't be as free flowing as you think.

The boxxer rumble doesn't come from the diameter of the piping. The unique sounds comes from the horizontally opposed engine setup as well as the unequal length header setup the wrx/sti have due to the engine setup. Some ppl that go with a more free flowing equal length header on their scooby's lose some of the low end rumble but still can be heard. Just not as much. If you slap the STi axle back on you will not get any exhaust characteristics from like that found on the scoobies. But it would be jokes if you slap it on.

i never even hinted at that being why an sti sounds that way. im not an idiot. i was asking if the piping was the same diameter because its gonna be really easy to mount up a muffler with 2.5 inch inlet to a pipe that is 2.25 inches dont ya think.

I never said u were an idiot...and yes u can mate it up even tho they are different diameter piping...just need a gasket that fits. You'd probably have to fab an adapter piece if the muffler doesn't line up properly.
