Stock boost gauge connection

I think my stock boost gauge wire is loose, because it doesn't read boost at all, just sits at 0, but the light is on, and every so often it decides to actually work. I took the a-pillar off and checked the connection there and it all looks fine, nice snug fit. But I was wondering where the wire runs from there?

Any input would be nice.

Thanks.

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and take a guess and say it runs to the MAF? I'm prolly wrong.

maf reads airflow, map reads pressure. id guess it actualy comes from the pcm as the pcm interperets the map sensor signal.

id guess bad gauge. im sure the boost gauge just works on a 5 volt signal. likley could put a voltmeter on the signal wire and observe the signal. dont quote me on this, just a hunch.
