Stiff? It feels like a piece of paper to me. The only tricky part is where it kicks out.

i know what you mean art about it being stiff...it feels like you really have to mash down on it...it will baby up when you break it in...by the way...if you baby the clutch...you are being good to it...you take care of the clutch...it takes care of you...if you do like me and feather it during launch...wont last a year lol

lol, kidding. so far mine has been pretty damn good...it did slip when i first got it, 1400 miles after breaking it in, but it was just me not letting it out fast enough. it grabs hold each time, everytime now.

I've always heard that you need to engage this clutch like you mean it. Shift @ over 3000 rpms too. If you feather the clutch alot, it will start to slip on you
if you shift like you mean it, it grabs fine. Mine does, and I am a very spirited driver when my other half isnt in the car with me

This clutch is actually good unit. You just can't slip it. Don't slip it and you'll be fine. I've had one of the highest hp redline's for over a year now and I beat beat BEAT on my car DAILY and my stock clutch is at 34,000 miles right now and still hooks like a beast. If your clutch is already going out you dont know how to drive, plain and simple. You can say you've been driving stick your whole life or w/e but it just comes down to the fact that you can't drive this car. It's not a mustang or a corvette so dont treat it like one.

26000 miles on my clutch and still going. I agree, our clutches do not like to be slipped. BUT that shouldn't be the case for a stock clutch though....GM should've put in a clutch that you could slip on a regular basis...I drive in traffic all the time and I have to slip my clutch and it sucks lol

Edit: oh and btw, im 2.5 pullied with all the bolt ons

its when you let the clutch slip, instead of just popping it in and out real quick (at least I am pretty sure thats what feathering is)

well i wasnt used to it for about a week or 2 . stalled a hand full of times just like u lol and i drive a standard truck everyday for work!! so it was touchy at first for mabey 200 miles. i got mine on january 18th and now its late march no stalls in like 6-7 weeks. and im up to 1900 miles just takes a couple weeks to get used it .

i really try to baby it, no slipping at all so i think im doin alright with it.

i try to shift bewtween 2&3k rpms

57K on stock clutch. Track about 10 times per year. Beat the crap out of it daily. Just starting to let go when warming tires at the track.

My clutch was giving me some slip untill about 5 or 6k miles. Now the thing grabs hard, and a beat teh **** out of it. This has been explained many times in tons of threads and hundreds of posts.

It's simple. Drive the clutch like your in a race car. Dont slip it when you start. Match revs w/ downshifts. Dump the clutch when you upshift, but don't use it to gain speed, use your motor to provide the power.

It seems like some of you are using you clutch to gain momentum by slipping it, let the motor do the work.
