stock clutch
i know what you mean art about it being stiff...it feels like you really have to mash down on it...it will baby up when you break it in...by the way...if you baby the clutch...you are being good to it...you take care of the clutch...it takes care of you...if you do like me and feather it during launch...wont last a year lol
So when you guys drive it rough, do you feel the shifts all the time. Like when i shift from first to second, its hard to get a smooth shift. Do you guys who drive it rough feel it jerkin each shift?
when they dealer pulled my clutch to install my spec stage 2+ i asked them what the stock one looked like. they said its looks great so i asked why its slipping and the answer i got was not enough clamping force. It worked great if i drove normal but slipped like hell with aggressive driving. so i guess the technicians can't drive the car either.... The spec clutch i haven't broken in yet but i can feel it engage much better. its a very solid engagment so far so good.
I have been driving on my stock clutch for a little over 10K miles with all my modifications and would have to say its pretty good. At this point it has started to slip under hard acceleration but with all the extra horsepower I would expect it to. Of course it would have been nice if they put a clutch in that could have handled 300+ ponies.
Oh and this is all driver dependant imo.
