stock exhuast 2.5?

does the exhuast go from a 2.5 in to a 2 1/4??
cuz when the guy who did my cutom exhuast he said that half my tubing was 2.5 and the other half was 2 1/4
so he replaced the 2 1/4

The exhaust is 2.5inch then bottle necks over the axle to 2 1/4
