Stock Spark Plug Gap .35
Stock Spark Plug Gap .35
This is the first time i have checked and changed the spark plugs on my cobalt and the stock plugs showed around a .35 gap. I read about the gapping of plugs in another thread saying that it should be .45 stock and only should be .35 if you're running around a 2.6 inch pulley. All this time i've been driving i haven't seen much for performance loss. (the car tears some serious ass, especially after 3500 rpm, header and downpipe not installed yet)
I ended up changing the plugs with a step colder NGK BKR7E-11 copper plugs because of my stage 2 kit, header, downpipe and intake and i gapped it to .40 because i didn't want to mess too much with the current performance.
I was wondering what spark plug gaps came stock on other people's cars
