Stock spark plug gap

I know supposidly the stock spark plug gap is .40. Though I have my stock spark plugs and I measured the gap and they measured in at. 35. So really what is the stock spark plug gap?

Reason I was asking is I had put some colder plugs in the car and gapped them at .40 and now I have the stage 2 pulley back on so I was going to stick some stock plugs back in the car and I need to know which is best to gap them at?

Bump...need an answer.

Okay I know that it says .040...but why are mine gapped in at .035? They came out of the car that way...they was the stock plugs.

so what gap is typically better with cold plugs .035 or .040?
