strange noise at 5k rmp or higher

after i hit 5 k and highter on the rpms i start hearing a pssss weird ugly noise from the front. its not and exhaust leak my dad said so i dont know what it is. could it be the sc blow off?

do you have an intake?? if not, then its prolly the airbox you hear. put an intake on it and you'll REALLY hear it...

does it sound like a smooth flowing pressured air sound?
or does it sound more like a "crackly" air sound.

because ive found that knock can sound very much like that in these cars...

it just starts going pshhh slowly and it gets louder but kinda like a bov but not all like that

Sounds like its just air trying to get sucked through ur restrictive airbox. Get a CAI or just do the airbox mod.

um its not the whine lol i know what the whine sounds like lol but i didnt have that noise before so its weird i guess ill take it in the dealer and see if they find anything wrong

and no i dont have and intake or drop in filter or air box mod.

ugly noise?? whats ur deal..go return your cobalt and buy a "smartcar"... then u wont have to worry about that "ugly" noise...all u have to do is plug it into your wall...lol

mine does it when im up around 4500-5000 it souns like psssh....its airflow...

what my deal..umm excuse me? Im not here to heard you being a smart ass lol, I did the post because I didnt hear the noise before and im not too familiar with these cars im still in the learning process and I prefer to get opinions on here and all just to make sure its something normal instead of it being something wrong and me ignoring it and ending up with a bigger problem..

but btw thanks for atleast letting me know what it is lol since u say you have the same noise
