Strange noise... HELP

I get this strange noise only when I accellerate. There is no effect performance wise. But its this kinda of ticking noise and as I accelerate the rate of the ticking gets faster untill its eventually drowned out by the exhaust. I think it could be something loose in my Hahn high flow cat. WHat do you guys think? ANyone have any idea?

Check to see if you have a nail in one of your tires.

Its definalty not that kind of sound it has something to do with the exhaust because its more of an air noise, not a physical tapping.

If it goes with the RPM of the engine yes.. Have you checked the torque of the header bolts?

I will now, your trying to say they could be loose?

Can anyone else confirm having this problem and hearing this sound because of a loose manifold?

i said i had the same problem a couple of posts up .... check all of your connections and make sure they are tight. also check to make sure the gaskets are ok and are not damaged or blown out in anyway.

I had the same problem also, just tighten them down and tighten from the passanger to drive every other bolt. Make sure it is aligning correctly when you tighten it.

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me as well. I had one a while back when I had my header installed, and it sounded like you described.

For a week or so my car sounded like a model-T. lol
