the injectors wont be big enough you'll need a set of 1200cc minimum you can get them from alan I would get a better set of cams you will need a bigger fuel pump start with a wallbro 450 you do not need nbs shafts with ele water pump just plug the holes with a set of stockers and and stick with the 6262 you do not need 3.5in strait pipe 3in will be plenty as for springs I would run super tech 94#

so basically it would be a balance shaft delete? and yea I've done a little more research on the fueling and your right 1200cc should be enough. as for the exhaust I had some piping left over from my old s366 rx7. I thought 94# wouldn't fit on the ecotec engine? my head is ported and polished already with 1mm oversized valves, and brand new oem lifters. no a/c. so if I done the bs delete and the ewp I would have a belt for the alternator and the tensioner only right? I think the s2 ZZP cams should be good tho. not a track car just weekend toy/quarter mile every now and then. plus I love beating people in a cobalt lol😉

**** yea. One thing to think about, forget the ewp and just run nbs. More load= quicker spool Thats a healthy turbo

that's not enough load to help it spool faster it would be more of a benefit if the mechanical pump was not there as the engine will rev faster and that will induce more load

op if you run a ele water pump you do not need a shorter belt the wp is run off the accessory chain inside the engine and if you run an ele water pump you do not need nbs or a delete just stick the stock balance shafts in place to plug the oil feed holes

ohhhhhtay so your saying the stockers will plug the holes but not be run off the accessory chain? but I'd still need a shorter belt right? if I wanna take off rotating mass I wanna do it right. I think I know where your going with this lol I'm not very familiar with the lsj engine hahaaa :p

yes the stock balance shafts will plug the holes and you will need a belt from 2.2 I believe

OP one thing to remember is the 2.4 crank really hasent been pushed extreamly hard yet.
I have a 2.4 with a lsj head. But I'm sc I'm affraid of breaking the crank. Just something to think about.
U might consider a 2.1 and hang that 6262 off the back.

True.
Problem with the 2.4 bottom end is the rods r very short. That isnt good for rpm. It will add a tremendous amount of stress to the crank.
That's y I'm using 2.2 l61 rods and custom pistons.

well guys taxes are done and I got 8 grand to blow. started yesterday on this lsj engine I had sittin in the garage. it had 80k when the previous owner wrecked it. I'm wanting to do something simple but make a couple ponies. my buddy has parts from his old lsj for sale as follows:
9-1cr pistons
zzp nbs
vortex? (idk) cams
zzp 4340 rods
built head all titanium
full 3"mpx exhaust (turbo dp)
zzp ic
4.45 LSD tranny
and a old gt40r turbo. he was revving to 8k but supposably hitting full boost at 6500. he said he made 450 on a mustang dyno @23psi. idk. but his setup was pretty badass. what do y'all think about it? he's letting me have everything for $650 minus the tranny. so I really wanna do it. I would have the same setup but a different turbo. my 6262. lmk guys

Level zero motorsports sells balance shaft deletes or zzp makes neutral blank shafts.

The guy above you is the one to talk to about sleeves.
