Hi All,

Recently the serpentine belt on my SS 2005 snapped and the ZZP 3.0 supercharger pulley came flying off.

I brought a new one but could not put in on (its really tough to put into the snout). My dad took it to a friend of his who was supposed to be a "mechanic".

My supercharger still doesnt have the pulley installed but it look like it is leaking oil from around the snout.

Do you have any idea what I need to do for that? Maybe a suggestion for a mechanic in the Bronx,NY?

 

how did the pulley come flying off? did u not tighten it all the wat or sumtin

 

Buy a new snout or a complete sc if possible man.

 

mustve been real loose as hell to come flying off...my pulley had a bolt almost off and still managed to hold on somehow lol. I noticed it when cleaning up my engine bay one day

 

I brought the car with this pulley on. Everything seemed fine so I didn't mess it with. I would rather not buy a whole new supercharger...thats too expensive.

Where can I get a new snout?

 

Talk to ZZP and see if they can get you a new snout. Or you can look in the classifieds for a used supercharger.

 

So I ended up doing just as you said Bluebalt07. I spoke to ZZP and they sent me a new snout with the 3.0 pulley already attached. The car is at the mechanic and they said it works again so I will confirm that today after work.
