So what intake will make the supercharger scream the loudest?

I have an injen it is loud enough, but my friend has a weaponR and it is much louder than mine, mind you though I have a 2.4

 

well if you have a 2.4 then you shouldn't have any supercharger whine at all right?

If he's stock...than there is no supercharger "whinning" but that doesn't mean he can't put a supercharger on his 2.4 VVT.

 

I was not saying I have a sc my bud and I both have pursuit gt"s I have an injen he has a weaponr assuming that his is alot louder than mine you would think that the weaponr would also be louderon the ss/sc

 

I should have pointed this out before but the reason the weapon-r intake was louder than your injen one is because of the filter differences. The weapon-r foam filters are less restrictive as far as air and sound. When you hear an intake, you're basically hearing air pass through something hollow and it's echoing. The injen intakes use K & N Cone filters which are a bit more restrictive but do a better job at filtering.

FYI: Take the whole "restriction" thing lightly...it's not restrictive to the point of where it's going to make a huge difference...it's all miniscule stuff.

for me, because I have no resonator and a flowmaster, its so loud I can't even hear the slightest sc whine at all even with the windows up! I'm getting a K&N though, since I already made an agreement with a guy, and I just like K&N products.

Yeah, last night I was driving on the freeway frontage road next to the big wall and floored it, OMG It was so loud my ears were ringing! That's my kinda exhaust !!!

Yes. Remember, all an intake is is a tube (most of the time alluminum) with a filter. If you have a coupler of some type, you can put the filter on the tubing that came with your injen intake.

 

that's why i bought a base model...

 

Already answered why one intake would be louder over another...it's the filter type and the size of tubing. Weapon-R intakes and Injen intakes use 2 1/2" tubing but different type of filters. The foam filter would be less restrictive on sound as far as echoing.

 

i have the fujita f5 its loud as hell but it doesnt fit for crap ... i dont recomend it!
