weight...eh. and hp, barely anything not even noticeable. the ac pulley on the drive belt has a clutch on it and it disengages when the car recognizes over a certain amount of throttle percentage

They have one for the 2.2/2.4. Mre specifically, it was for the Jbody cars, but it would swap over fine. You would need a custom belt though, since the one they include doesnt have provisions for the supercharger

regardless, there is no power gain, and its a pretty big sacrifice if your looking for weight savings. If you really wanna lose weight, i'd go with a lighweight battery.

It would be worth it to know how much weight you're really saving though. Take out the whole system and weigh it then people can decide. A/C alone might not be much, but if you're really trying to pare down the weight, every 5-10 pounds you can find adds up in the end.

Just remove all the ac stuff. Remove the ac compressor, from the engine unbolt the rear case bolts, take the guts out of it and reinstall just the front AC mount and the bearing with the pulley. Saves a ton of weight and you have no air. All Koni cars ran this way in s/c mode... if you want to get fancy machine the pulley a bit...that is all

This is what I did. I gutted the ac compressor and removed all the lines. It looks alittle cleaner in the bay. I also got rid of the condenser in the front for hopefully less heat soak and more air flow.

hummm, yes very good idea, Ima try that, or if I can I just might draw something up and see if I can machine something at work, I dunno, me and my uncle just put one on his GT Mustang and damn nice, we used to build old school, muscle and always took the ac off or just never ran one so, I dunno these are all really good ideas I appreciate the help, peace guys.
