For those without water/meth injection.

I know we (those without water/meth inj.) are always looking for high octane gas to use in order to run more timing. Well I found this, and its unleaded! I'm thinking about buy some to see how good it works. Has anyone else tried this stuff???

Are you saying I should get the water/meth injection or keep getting race gas?

You plan on running this all the tiime or just for races? That would really be the determining factor in which you should get...money wise that is. Something tells me those buckets and drums are not cheap.

Just use the Toulene trick in the other thread you made. Methanol injection is about more than adding octane man. Remember the water mixed with it absorbs the heat and cools everything down at the same time. That is the aspect that is more important than boosting octane. You can do a Devil's Own meth/water injection kit for like $225, and it's a pretty damn nice kit as I've seen/installed it on a friends car.

See you could just do what I did and run leaded helicopter fuel for a few days. The car had some ***** then let me tell you what but my o2 sensor took the brunt of the beating.

25 degrees and 26 degrees of timing and still no knock according to him. Ive seen em rape stock and modded srt4's from a dig. From a roll they still put a hurting on em, last guy put 2 cars infront of him by 100mph. He can run all that timing because he's still on the stock pulley.

The only water/meth kit I would get is the TAG kit, because it sprays AFTER the blower. Also I'm not really worried about heat with my car, remember I have a cobra heat exchanger and the dual pass IC mod. After a 1/4 mile run my IAT2 is only like 125 and the MAX my IAT2 with get up to is around 165 and that takes a while. By the time I get up to 130 mph my IAT2 is around 165 at about 135 mph its down to 155 and then at 140 mph its around 165 again. It just levels off at 165. Also I told sheek360 about the toluene and he said he used to do it, but Wop On Tour told him to stop imidiatly.

Just remember your getting the octance and the cooling which is very important. If your running race gas you will get no knock but you IAT2 temps will be hot as hell.....I say the TAG kit is your best option! For Sure !

No it won't! I've scanned my car with both 91 octane and race gas. There is no difference in IAT2. With an IAT2 of 125 at the end of a 1/4 mile run, thats about where the guys with water/meth are. The only reason I would get the water/meth would be for the increase in octane. Thats also why I want to get the GM Stage 3 PCM if its tunable. Then I can run my pump gas tune for the street, and switch over to the race gas tune at the track. I don't care if my IAT2 was 50 degrees, 20 psi is just too much boost for 91 octane.

Well bro, if you want to run high octane pay the price for it. You got to pay to play man. I only run 93 octane, but it's regularly available to me. The TAG kit is on sale now for $399 as well. Either way, make sure you get those brakes sussed out before buying race gas though!

blown doesn't like spending money. the cheapest way to get from a to b is the way to go for him ... in the long run though I think you would end up spending less for the water/meth setup but it's gonna take a while
