throttle body question

I was wondering if I would need a custom intake for the LS4 throttle body? Can I put an injen cold air intake on the LS4 throttle body thanks everyone. and I know I need a spacer.

you'll need a reducer coupler from the ls4 to the 2.5 injen intake. rebel autowrks had one i dont know if they still do. otherwise make one or have someone you know with a welder make you one, that what i did.

Thanks man are there any intakes that bolt right up to the LS4 throttle body?

Do the 3in intakes bolt right up to the LS4 throttle body?

If you think about it, you'll see you want a 3 inch intake to go along with the bigger tb. Otherwise, what's the point?
It should fit just fine.

I've got a LS4 TB sitting in my trunk. It is larger than the LSJ TB. I compared them when I removed the stock TB for cleaning one day. The LSJ CAI's won't fit the LS4 TB without a reducer. OTTP is about to release their CAI for the LS4 TB. Last I checked, they were assembling everything and waiting on a buffer to be delivered so they could finish production. Just be a little patient and one will be here soon enough. Also, OTTP has a spacer they can machine to match the diameter of the LS4 TB. Check out their website at www.ottperformace.com. They are a supporting vendor of this site.

think about porting the stock throttle body too. There was a thread on here where it showed amazing gains with before and after dyno's. I say that bc you also wont have to worry about the glitchy throttle response that comes with an ls4 tb. Some people also believe the ls4 tb is too big for our application and all you need to do is port that stock one.

porting the stock one wont do you anything maybe you'll see 0.5 hp from that, for you cant change the size of the butterfly in the throttle body, if you go with the ls4 your going to need to port the intake side of your supercharger so, the butterfly can open all the way, you will also need a tune with the bigger throttle body. i have this done with tons of other stuff and i dont have any problems, theres no glitcy throttle response, its just that more sensitive, its called better throttle response. but if your not running a 3inch intake and at least stage two then i wouldnt reconmmend doing the ls4.
