throttle body question

I'm planning on cleaning up my throttle body and just curious as to what i should use to clean it and any precautions to take.

Throttle Body Cleaner lol - CRC makes it

It's supposed to be safer than brake cleaner, but I have used brake cleaner many times without ill effects.

MAF sensors and wiring however are different stories, only use specific MAF cleaners that are safe for it.

just cleaned mine i picked up some tb cleaner/maf cleaner made by i think CRC.. Took off throttle body cuz it said do not use on SC/TC motors. no bad results outta it. idle problems where cured..

I use Petro TB cleaner with a clean shop rag. Most dealerships (probably not all) use their products. Between 5,000-10,000 miles is when I do mine.
