Thumping?

Just wondering what under the car near the passenger wheel can thump when the wheel is being turned while moving?

I wouldn't be surprised if your control arm bushings are trashed.

I'm not sure when your car's original in service date was, but if your car is under 3 years old, it should be in warranty. The warranty is 3yrs/36,000. If your car is a late 07, you should be within warranty and should schedule an appointment ASAP.

And yes, the control arm bushings can go bad that early. The ones in my G5 were trashed at 30,000.

you know it's the bearings when it's louder it corners. old car of mine sounded like it was going to fall apart just due to a bad bearing

The hub bearings tend to make more of a howling noise.

now i've got my bearings all mixed up LOL. it was the wheel bearing on the passenger side that made the thumping sound before it got replaced. no trouble after that

I've heard a little thumping sound in the front passenger seat a few times to. I noticed it when I would first start my car in the morning when it's cold out and hear it, not very loud but could hear it. Either it was after I got moving for a little bit or hit a certain speed "not sure" it would stop and I wouldnt hear it again till next time it sat and I would drive it again cold. First thought was I did something ripping it in first when its cold and getting insane wheel hop and no traction, that slamming sound is terrible! It hasn't been a problem for me but scared me a little, don't wanna have to replace anything

mine does it on the front left, used to be both sides...have your strut mounts checked, specially if you have drop springs
