when i start the car cold there is a squeaking/ ticking noise coming from the top left of the engine, you can hear it for about 2-5 minutes but once the cars warm it goes away. Timing chain going or could it be something else?

 

we got this goofy timing chain tensioner that goes bad supposedly it easy to fix, mine does the same thing been like this for atleast a yr+ and still going so idk if it's really bad

 

Yea I had that same problem and ignored it since the car ran fine. Then one day I was sitting at a light n when I went to drive off normally the tensioner fully collapsed, broke a couple of timming guides off and the timming chain jumped. That was a 5g mistake so I would take care of it now cuz the upgraded tensioner is alot cheaper than a new motor.
