Tiny metal flakes in exhaust...

I noticed somethin when I was runnin my car today, when I rev it up for a few minutes I can notice small (very small) pieces of shiny metal specs on the tip of my muffler. I don't believe it would be my rings (or I ****** hope not lol). A buddy of mine said I might have blown the cat &/or muffler packing out? What do you guys think? Its still running fine, no noises or anything, just the first time i really noticed this, hope its just the cat or muffler packing comin apart...

ok thanks guys, good to know, I'm takin it to the shop today to get my new AIT front bumper put on. When I get it back I'm gonna be changing the oil so I will check that for any flakes. I've been pondering getting one of those magnetic plugs so I guess i'll pick one up to be on the safe side. Fingers crossed for no metal in the oil lol.

I dont like the idea of magnetic plugs, its not time consuming to loosen and re torque the nut. I just feel if some one knew about it or even didnt, its easy for anyone to drain you car.

o no thats not what I meant, I'll still be using a screw in one, but it has a magnet on the end of the bolt that is supposed to hold any metal flakes floating around and keep them from getting circulated. I've heard they work and I've heard that haven't, idk guess its worth a try dont see how it could hurt.

if you take off your oil pan, there should be a magnet in there and it prolly will be coverd in metal flakes. metal flakes should be expected. after all, metal is rubbing on metal haha.
