torn exhaust thread, no solutions?

the flex pipe before my cat is torn right after the header, but i cant seem to find any sort of replacement or mention of similair problems, the dealer insists i have to buy the cat assembly priced at over 490$ which seems ludacris for the one torn piece of flex pipe..
the hole trips my o2 sensor and my mpg has suffered noticeably. also my power seems reduced and its loud as hell.

i appreciate any help or input

is it just like the flex pipe that is leaking? if so you can just order another flex pipe from vibrant. i had to do this a few times, and i just ended up gutting my cat cause it clogged lol

yes its just the flex pipe, which was cused somewhere in route from florida to washington, it started to be noticably loud and the CEL came on in oklahoma and i stopped in utah where it tore off completely. i tacked it back on so i could finish the drive and fix it after deployment.
is it probable that my cat is clogged too? was that what caused your flex problems from the start?

There is a vendor list at the top of the page.

ZZP, OTT.. Clear Image.. Cobalt Addiction.. they all sell downpipes.

Really.. any muffler shop can weld a new flex pipe in for about 35 40 bucks...

If it ripped in the right spot (where mine did) it is unfixable... A new downpipe should only cost 175-230 bucks (with a catalytic converter) or about 115-150 for a downpipe without a cat.
