Track help
Im going to the track for the first time tomorrow and im a little worried because i never been to one before. I need someone to give me some good pointers on how to launch in our cars. Any help would be great thanks.
I have around 100 passes at the track on my car. Biggest thing I can say is launch around 2k (with street tires) then ease through first, power shift 1-2 and 2-3. It will take lots of practice so don't be discouraged with your first times.
A lot of people forget to mention the whole staging part to people that have never been to the track before. Two weeks ago I went to the track with some friends and I was amazed at the amount of people that tried staging right next to the tree or they staged with their rear wheels. So with that being said take your time staging. Slowly move your car up and until you light up the first two section of lights on the tree. As far as launching your car if you don't have any anit wheel hopping mods be real easy on first gear because I would hate to hear that you broke the first time you went to the track.
Well just got back from the track,
to my clutch
. But on the bright side i get a new clutch
. See the problem was i learned to drive stick on this clutch so it was fucked up to begin with, 2nd i just need to let off the ******* throttle and it would have been fine but no im a dumb ****. 1/4 mile time 20s lol @ 73MPH
to my clutch
you're gonna need more than whats in your signature for a low13-high12
also....45k on the clutch isn't that bad. i have 42k and pulling 2.15-2.10 60' times and bryan has like 50k i think now and has 342whp on the street tune. both of us are on the stock clutch. and i'm sure theres many more of us

From what I here our clutch are really finaky and not the best car to learn stick on that is for sure. Sucks that you blew it, lets just hope that your a better driver now and can take care of the new one! Don't feel bad about your number either!!! Practice up and you will be nailing people.... just not in the 12's
