OK! I'm going to try my best not to use bad words. But I can only think of very few words to show how really pissed off I am right now. OK, here it go's.

2007 SS S/C. Stock, with the Ingalls Tq Damper the best time I ran a 14.5X ok. So then I put on the Injen Intake, Corsa Sport Exaust, and Vibrant Header.

Oh and Cuz I still had ALOT OF WHEEL HOP WITH THAT POS INGALLS, I put in the TTR Motor mount.

So I went up to the track and ran 6 times. BTW, I am really F*CKING BAD AT LAUNCHING!

MY BEST GOD DARN TIME WAS A 14.7X!!!!!! .2 slower. Now, lets run threw the problems.

1st run, Bad luanch, I bogged the Shizzel out of it. ok, My bad.
2nd run, WHEEL HOP OUT THE ASS!!!!!! MOTHER FLIPPIN SHIZZLE!!!! So I had to come off and the run ended up sucking
3rd run,I suck the ***** off the launch, but I miss 3rd anyway.
4th, WHEEL HOP OUT THE ASS AGIN, and then I miss 3rd. I know I suck!
5th, THE MOTOR MOUNT WORKS PERFECT, And I **** Up 3rd AGAIN! I KNOW I SUCK!
6th and Final Run, WHEEL HOP! and A perfect run threw the gears and I ended with a 14.7X

1st, I'm super pissed at the POS Motor mount. The Ingalls tq Damper Sucked, and This thing seems to be the same thing!
2nd, I CAN'T LAUNCH THIS CAR AND ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!
3RD, I feel like such a spaz now when shifting into 3rd! Like as I punch in2 2nd, I start getting all mental about it now. The GOD DARN MOTOR MOUNT SUCKED MY ***** THO! I AM SOO PISSED AT IT> THANK THE LORD MY FRIEND KEPT ME FROM A COMP LAST NIGHT CUZ IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE.

ANY THOUGHTS>??

 

You just need some practice and you should be fine.

Well Ive had the car for like 4,300 miles already. I drive every day from stoplight to stop light, Crap, when I'm not at the track I think I do pretty good. I just suck there.


I'm about ready to have another Mmember drive the damn thing down the track to at least do her justice

 

you're expecting something so simple like a dampner or a motor mount to a holy crap fix all be done with wheel hope.

NOT going to happen. you will never be 100% rid of wheel hop in these cars unless you redesign the whole front suspension, and motor mounts.

so don't blame the mount, it is doing its job.

 

From all the reviews its gotten, ppl swear by it. I can actually say it pretty much like stock with wheel hop as in no help at all! I don't mind the lil more firmness it gives but I would like I lil more help with heel hop!

And Not looking to be 100%, how about 50%?? Its driving me crazy! I Love the car, but now when I go to the track with it I feel like a retard! Sorry guys, I had to get it out, It was a bad night. The track made the rest of my night kinda suck. still a lil frustrated

 

With the setup you have as far as traction mods go, at the very best they simply increase the margin of error you have while launching.

 

instead of being mad look to see if you trap speed went up at all from you track times than you know theres hope since only the driver is lacking not the car not performing...

 

Get tranny mounts man. Tranny mounts!

 

I have tranny mounts. The install looks hard so I was gunna wait till my dad could help me with em + he wanted to help. There going in next weekend.

And the trap speeds were..... about the same, but the 60's were much worse. So i can see the I/H/E did Alot, but AT THIS point, Driver Mod FTL.

Trans mounts here I come.

 

This car is a tricky one to drive. Keep at it and it will get better. Put the tranny mounts in and it will lesson the wheel allot when comboed with the upper mount. It will not be gone but better. Learning how to launch in this car is the key to good times.

 

We had absolutly no wheelhop launching at 3500, 3200, 2800, 2500 and 2200 and full throttle as soon as clutch was out and with a 2.23-2.35 60 footers all 6 runs. No matter how we tried launching it basically netted pretty close to the same 60 footers, the wheels spun some just no wheel hop and every shift was spot on at 6800. Best time was a 14.272 at 97.82 at sea level at 66-72 degrees ambient temps. Best mph was 98.87 but at a slower 14.367.

Even the turbo Neons were all running in the low 14's this night and the Evo's were the same with 2 in the 12's very modded. The first run my son ripped a Z06 outa the hole and he never caught up even tho he trapped 111. Got that run on video and man did it look great.

 

Install an LSD. It'll be a lot easier

 

Yea, I'm just asking for better. And On the last run, or sencond to least, I took the psi down to 20lbs and that was when the mount seemed to work almsot perfect, but then I sucked so it was a wash. Howeve, I do feel better after posting it up here and I should have done it last night!

I have the LSD. 2007 w/G85 w/o the Recaro's.

Is that with the Tranny mounts or what>

 

I've had success with a 2800rpm slip.

 

How do U come off the clutch? Side Step? or slow lift? Or Fast lift?

Btw, I was launching from around 2000 rpm

 

1500 rpm drop on hoosiers works for me lol.... 2.0 60's every time, and still rockin the stock clutch

lol, thats Y i had to start the thread. Then again I really suck at Launching this bad girl, and Smashing 3rd. So maybe I'm just getting worse.

 

see i went to the tracks a few times with my SS n/a and i don't launch and see what i hit, and i hit 15.8 without a launch then i did a launch and missed 4th lol and still got 15.6... i do have some more mods now than before so im hopping to get down to 15.0s... but that is the only time i had a problem was when i missed 4th lol. cause i was an idiot and i was looking at the guy i was racing lol (gt stang lol) and i had him the whole way until i fucked up haha. which made me more pissed and i was punchin my steering wheel cause it was all my fault

 

U make it to 4th B 4 the 1/4 is up?? I get to just about my redline as I cross the finish.

 

yea i think its like 94 or something? everyone said i have good trap speed, but my like 0- 60' is retarded somehow lol.. ill post numbers when im done bro
