Custom Tuning is always better than a "canned" tune. OTTP is great at tuning also; I have never heard any complaints, but since Trifecta data logs and customizes the tune specifically for your car, then that would be the better option if your willing to spend the extra money...

I would agree with MT0911 But in my experience with trifecta between the two I would go ottp my tune from Trifecta was absolutely horrible. But I would recomend finding a nearby tuner with Hptuners which would be your best route.

My guess is you didn't spend much time fine tuning it.

When Vince did my TVS base tune it was a bit shaky, but after one datalogging session it was near perfect.

To answer the OP though, thats a tough question. OTTP makes a great tune, and would also be willing to datalog with you if you ask.

I say go with your gut.

I was running extremely rich and idle was very rough, torgue managemnt was all screwy if I remember right. I datalogged LOTS and LOTS of times probably atleast 20-30 times. I told vince it wasn't running right and smelled extremely rich. My buddies stg 2 and only stg2 car was beating me when I had full exhaust, 2.8, 60's, meth injection, cai and ported blower. I asked him if i could just get a partial refund cuz i understand he still did some work but it wasn't running right. I said I was going to get it retuned by a local tuner and he could redatalog it to see the tune was changed but he said it all looked fine to him and couldn't give me any kind of refund.

^^ That's too bad man. If you literally data logged that much then I can understand you being a little bitter about the whole experience. But still for the OP, Trifecta really is great hands down and OTTP is a very reputable vendor as well; both sides are very experienced and either way you go is still way better than remaining on the stock tune. My advice is to PM Vince from Trifecta and PM Josh from OTTP; See what both can do for you and make your decision based on what you feel is right. In the end, I hope all works out for you. Let us know what you end up going with and how everything turns out
