...decent power? 12.8 is really fast man. i dont think you even realize. think about it this way. the 12.8 sec cobalt on here would finish more than 2 seconds faster than you in the quarter looking at your 1/4 time in your sig. 2 seconds is like 15 car lenghts or more...basically, thats the difference between a z06 and a c6, its even a bigger difference actually. 12.8 seconds is actually exactly the fastest any of the daily driver 4.0 v6's on our mustang forums have done lol...thats kinda weird, but man for a 14 sec car 12's is real good for a daily driver, so dont worry about it.

I know everyone is not into spending what I have, but we will see how far this Supercharger can be pushed with an added turbo. We will also learn how reliable this is for daily driving. Other than going to work (I work way too far away) I will drive this car everywhere. We will get initial dyno's when we are tuning but I will not be turning up to full boost until 3,000 miles. However I plan on putting those first 3,000 on quickly.

are you doing the twincharge setup where the blower pushed and the turbo just spools later on and boosts on top of the blower or are you setting it up so the blower spools the turbo? I have seen one set up with a blower spooling a turbo (not a cobalt) on streetfire and god damn it was tight. they used a huge turbo and it spooled almost instantly because of the blower.

The turbo will feed the supercharger.

So how does the twin charge system work? If the turbo puts out 10 psi, and the sc puts out 12 psi, does that mean you'll be making 22 psi?

in response to using a pulley smaller than 2.5": yes that would push the blower out of its RPM range, however, you could use a smaller pulley if you machine the snout. It WOULD be beneficial if you had a boost controller. Thank about it, you can boost so much quicker in your low and mid range, then set the max psi to 17-20, whatever you wish. It would make the car quicker. No it wouldn't add to the maximum hp, but it would add to low and mid range

The way it was explained to me was that it wasn't a matter of just adding the boost from both. It turns out there is a formula and this depends on how much boost the turbo is putting out. Once we have the system installed for testing I will give details on the boost we acheive.

Your right about it shifting the power to the lower end, but the heat is not in making boost at that point, so limiting the boost is still going to make heat. the heat is just form spinning the SC at damn near lightspeed. It would be spinning about 40% faster, that is INSAINLY fast.

even a 2.5" is 34% faster.
