I am thinking on getting a tune on my Cobalt..
But I have a question..

Is it true that the computer (module) can be flashed to Stage II??

I have the stage 2 pulley, belt, and almost the 60 # injectors. So the only thing I would be missing is the computer..

Can it be possible to flash it so I won't have to buy one??

 

when the dealer installs stage 2, they flash the PCM with the tune. BUT, you cannot run 60lbers on the s2 tune, unless you want to blow up. you need the GM 42lbers if you want the gms2 tune. A custom tune would be your best bet, and you should find someone with HPTuners that will tune you. SSCarTuning is in Dallas, search for him and see if he can tune you.

 

yes, Stage 2 needs to be flashed at the dealership, but with 60# injectors you will need a different tune.
