Tuning : What Gains?

I looking into getting a tune so I was hoping to get some response from are pro dominant tuners here (area47 and the others):

While I know it's all theoretical and the gains can vary depending on tuner and car so just best estimate here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My mods to date:

GM Stage 2 (42lb injectors, Belt)

Nate's 2.8 pulley

Ghetto Airbox Mod

Meth injection thru a 6gph nozzle 50/50 mix

filled tranny mounts
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What should I tell the tuner to look out for and what gains do you estimate I'm going for a semi aggressive tune hoping to advance timing a good amount but not insane.

Thanks!!!

semi aggresive i would say 11.8-12.1 afr and about 20-22 degrees timing..ur gonna be pushing those injectors but meth will carry thru in the high rpms...

hey bro, just be careful if they tune it too aggressively for the meth and you run out, you will have a problem...

I would say thats pretty agressive! Im running 18 degrees of timing and a 11.4 A/F and look at my dyno numbers. Also get rid of those 42s and get 60s. I would not trust 42s and a 2.8 pulley.

You're fine with your 42# injectors on that pulley. I have two of the cars I tuned with that pulley/injector combo hitting 13.4 @108, and that's without Meth, or a race tune. Straight 91 octane.

Those people end up having tranny problems though........but unrelated to the tune obviously.

why would he have had to have gotten a tune? meth cools the engine & blower down. It can be used just for that or to gain more horsepower threw a tune while keeping the engine and blower cool.

You don't need a tune to get meth.
Meth cools the Heaton oops I mean Eaton down and brings IAT2 temps down and raises the octane of your gas by 7 to 16 points.

How are people hittin 13.4 with out a tune? Slicks?

but in order to install a meth kit you need a tune.?? never used before..lookin for a cooling mod that helps with power as well.

To get the full benifit of meth you need a tune but if all you want is basicly cheap race gas and cooler IAT2 then you can hook meth right up and run it with out problems.

Any one here know or heard of a Tuner in Florida named Jeremy Formato?
I've been told he is a god among Vette, GTO, and LS1 vechiles. Also heard he
s tuned a few Cobalts any one know or have an opinion?

Thanks!

Anyone?

Heard of Jeremy Formato and know if he's tuned Cobalts?

Thanks!

because if u run meth injection u dump more fuel in ur motor and ur injections work harder so if he runs out of meth the motor will go bye bye whenever u do meth u need a tune for it ur afr's could be in the 14-16's and thats bad
