Which Turbo?

Ok i need some help deciding which turbo would be best for me. Im gonna have a stock motor and i want around 350whp or more. Sometime afterwards im gonna be putting pistons, ported head, and a couple other things. And when i do that ill put a bigger better turbo on then. Price is a BIG issue for me lol soooo that being said, any opinions?

Why not get the LNF stock turbo? We are hitting 350hp with it

I've got a Precision SCM5031E that I'll be selling soon. Like $500. Good turbo... good punch... real fast.

I have the same problem deciding which turbo. I was thinking: a t3 t4 .63 a/r 60-1 but i think will have too much lag for the streets idk.

What turbo you guys reccomend?

Depends on what your idea of "too much lag for the streets" is... and also, your power goals.

you can use a 50trim and make 350-400whp alone. go bigger and your looking at 70 rolls.
and you dont need to pay 5k for a hahn kit, 3k and you can have a way better kit that you put together yourself.

a holset hx35 will be full boost at right around 3200ish rpms and support 550whp. and it will last 200,000 miles. Not bad for a 200-400 dollar turbo eh?

Fo Sho. Has anyone put an HX35 BEHIND the block though? I know of someone that has put one beside the block... but I haven't seen anyone put one behind.

Big Turbo is Big.

holset turbos are used on diesel engines. Specifically the dodge cummins engines and the bigger international big rigs. But the cummins motors use the smaller turbos that work perfect for the tuner scene. 500hp turbos that actually have really good spool time.

just search them, there is all kinds of good info on them on dsmtuners.com

If you want 350-380whp... then a Garrett GT2876R/GT2871R would be perfect. Full spool around 3k, if not slightly before... and 15psi will net you right around 350whp.

Holset is an awesome brand.

You want a good 50trim, I've got one that I'll be selling here real soon. Precision SCM5031E. I'll sell it for like $500... I'll even have it freshly rebuilt for you so that you'll have nothing to worry about.

Ya GT28 would be perfect but they are pricey. S247 would be a good choice also
