Turbo Oil Drain & Sealant For Pan
What is a good sealer to use for the turbo oil drain fitting that goes into my oil pan? Ok, this is not for my Cobalt but rather for my Turbo'd Integra. I have a nice Moroso oil pan with the drain bung already provided, but the damn Earl's fitting that goes into the pan will not stay sealed! I've tried liquid Teflon sealant "pipe dope," and your good old fashioned teflon tape, and neither seem to last even a week, and it's getting aggrivating considering the need to drain the oil to clean the pan/bung properly so I can get a good seal again. Would high temp RTV work on the threads or what? Please help!
Nevermind, I guess Permatex makes a special high temperature thread selant for such applications FYI.
