Tvs 1320 vs mp90 sc dyno

Got a baseline for the TVS, will be returning in the next week or two to dyno the TVS with a Euthanasia PORT JOB.

TVS 1320 CAR

Euthanasia Ported head
Badmab 1.75" - 3" shorty header -> 2.5" dp w/ high flow cat -> 2.5" magnaflow cat back
ZZP 3" COLD AIR INTAKE
Ported stock throttle body
Euthanasia Ported Single Pass Manifold
AIS Water/Meth Injection 17gph 50/50 - 91 octane a.k.a ****
Hptuned 24.5* max advance 11.5 AFR - 24.7 psi

MP90 CAR

Stock head
Badmab 1.75" - 3" shorty header -> 3" high flow cat DP -> 3" dynomax vt cat back
zzp 3" cold air intake
ls4 throttle body
EUTHANASIA Ported dual pass intake manifold
AIS Water/meth Injection 19gph 50/50 - 91 octane a.k.a ****
Hptuned 25* max advance - 12 AFR - 24.5 PSI

REPEAT AFTER ME.... IN METH WE TRUST!

Why mod a cavalier slapped with a SS badge you ask? Because race car

Once Euthanasia is all done w/ this project... the spare MP90 he has will get built and mounted... He told me today once he has to return the tvs he's going to have boost widthdrawls haha.

He's working on finishing up the 2nd Lysholm 1.6 twinscrew... we'll have that on the dyno as well.

@Ebristol

Me too lol

mp90 just needed a ported head and a aggressive timing table like I made for the TVS.

How come the massive nozzles on the methanol injection? I believe I have a 5GPH but that seems so small compared to yours.

so are there advantages if i were to add meth to my car being that i'm already running E85? what advantages do meth have other than i've read it can aide as a cooling mod if it's a 50/50 mix? just tryin to broaden my knowledge a bit seems like a good thread to start.

Nice to see a baseline for the TVS. The key here will be the gains of the port job rather than peak numbers because we all know this dyno's reputation to break hearts

We really appreciate the testing guys. Also the TVS car got a nice ported head but is IMO very limited with a 2.5" dia. downpipe, "high flow" cat and similar sized exhaust. And the exhaust I.D. is even smaller and the bends are all adding to the restriction. A 3" exhaust on the same car should give a significant increase in top end HP, I would say 15+ WHP. Also it seems like the ported head car have not loose low end torque which is great and I would think that going to a 3" exhaust would not affect much (if any) the torque from 3500+ RPM. Also it is the second time I see a TVS result (when compared to M62) with a 25%+ difference on top end WHP. Good stuff man!

just curious if you have done a long tube vs shorty header comparison at this power level. would stand to reason that long tube headers and no cats would boost power significantly when your moving as much air as these two blowers are.

I agree, when I dynoed the mp90 on 24 psi dyno'd both a 2.5 exhaust & 3" exhaust. With the 3" dyno, there was a 15whp gain.

appreciate it... we'll do more shortly

I wish I could afford one, we stick to whats cheap and works.

yessir...

e-85 already has a octane rating of 100-105 octane give or take.

Water/meth does two things very well

1) added octane, anti-detonation
2) very good at keeping iat2 @ bay ************ HUGE FACTOR **********

we don't run any fancy big front mounts out here... in fact my car has a 100% stock intercooler system... just a 14gph nozzle on 18-19 PSI 2.5 m62 pulley. Junior's car is on 17gph with a single pass, 4 gallon flow through tank and stock front mount.

because they may as well rebadge the 91 pump with "h2o, may contain 10% ethanol"

Just run Water Injection to bring down your charged air temps.
