TVS as a daily driver?

Right now I am saving up for the TVS kit and I was just wondering how reliable is it to use for daily driving? If you have any info regarding my question please feel free to state an opinion. I've been cruising the forums for a long time and this ismy first post. Just paid off my 2006 SS/SC and now its time to make it faaast!

With a mild pulley on it it would be no different then an M62 for reliability. It's just a more efficent supercharger

will the supercharger itself last as long as the m62 charger does?

Hey thanks for the input guys. At first, I was going to order the OTTP stage 2 tune until I notice a bunch of stage 2 owners wanting to get TVS now. I think 300hp is a good amount of power for a supercharged cobalt SS. My car has been nothing but reliable to me over the years and I'm pretty sure it will continue to be once upgraded.

TVS is fine as a daily driver, when I had the "stock" pulley on it, it drove no different (aside from being faster) than the stock m62. Now that I have a smaller pulley on it, it's still perfectly fine but I do notice that I can't mash the throttle and expect to stay in my lane .

You'll be fine with it.

By time you add the TVS, and everything needed to run it, Full exhaust, intake, meth (to make ok numbers), etc it adds up FAST.

turbo will need most of the same mods so that point is nil. exhaust manifold, full exhaust, intake, intercooler, plumbing, meth, etc... (to make ok numbers), etc... it also adds up FAST.

all that is needed to run the tvs is injectors and tune. but then again the turbo setup would also require injectors and tune as well so...

and yes, we all know you will make more power on a turbo...

I was wondering this to. How is it on gas ? What's the mpg. Because wouldn't you have to get 60lbs injectors to run the tvs or could you stay with gmstage 2 injectors with a good tune?

think about this the stage two 42's arent suggested for anything smaller then a 2.9 on an m62 which is right about 15 psi, you will def need 60's

I was going by if you buy a kit its pretty much all included (turbo kit like the hahn) when you have a TVS all the supporting mods add up... Just my Exhaust for my SC was worth over 1K... Then the intake and H/E was like $400. Meth kit and tune will easily be $500+, etc.
