off topic, but your sig is sex, there is nothing sexier then an srt-4 with a huge front mount.

You'll also see many TVS owners going turbo

60 lb injectors are good for pretty much the stock tvs pulley. anything smaller and you want at least 79 or 80's.

If you have access to E85 you will love the TVS. Meth is a good substitute for E that will help you make power as well. The key to power on the TVS is octane

IMO a TVS is for people who want good power for a daily driver. You will definalty make more power with a turbo but it's not as reliable

Turbo can be just as reliable as the bolt on tvs, it just you can't cut corners with your setup, you have to take the time to piece it together and spend money on parts that you need to spend on

Ya i'll agree with you on that. I guess you just read more guys with issues on their turbo LSJ's than TVS but it's all on how you do it.

Ya the tvs is a much easier upgrade but a turbo has more power potential depending on what compressor is chosen, as for people having trouble with there turbo swap lsjs, I wouldnt trust the majority of people on this site with changing the oil in my geo metro let alone a turbo swap on an lsj.

My car runs mid-12s and the only "expensive" thing I have is a 3" Fujita intake that I paid $100. And a GMPP exhaust, which isn't really helping with efficient air flow , no cooling mods unless you count E85.

You have to have 60s. IIRC my gas mileage when I had mine on at first was about 25 city/34 highway, but that's probably because I was mashing on it on the highway. On the M62 I would see 28 city and anywhere from 35 to 42 mpg highway, but average was about 38mpg. So it did drop noticeably.

Most of the people who go turbo go turbo for big numbers, and when you go for big numbers, you break more ****. I went with TVS because I want a smoother powerband with moderately good numbers for road racing. The only reason it's even seen the strip is boyfriend wanted a toy to play with until his Honda is built.

And a note to the OP, if your tuner spends some time tuning partial throttle you shouldnt notice a drop in mileage, unless of course your beating on the car

TVS is too fun NOT to beat on the car, especially when you first get it.

Mid 12's on stock Header, Downpipe, Injectors, Tune, etc? It adds up, esp considering most don't have accesses to E-85.

IDK that much about TVS times but that seems fast for the mods..So with all the extra mods you have over him/her is your car a low12 high 11 sec car on E?

Yes, stock header/manifold. Stock downpipe w/ cat-delete. GMPP exhaust, but its actually smaller than stock. Obviously injectors. Car is on E85. Tuned myself. Stock cooling system as well. Also shitty launch. Car will be low 12s this saturday with slicks, footballs, and WOT Box.

Car already has fastest TVS time, and fastest overall LSJ time minus ZZP's shop car.

You can make these fast without a lot of mods.

IIRC he trapped 116. He is on a 2.7" pulley and im only on a 2.9 so I wouldnt think my car will go low 12's anytime soon...especially since I only has street tires

Edit: just beat me to posting that lol

apparently only a handful of us know how to make power with these things. those same people had dick for cooling mods.
