fuel pump is nice but not needed IMO, if you have a wideband and interceptor you should be able to know when you need a new pump. If you were trying to go e85 I would understand the new pump. You probably have 60# injectors right?

It could be the TB, but 60#'s aint gonna cut it. I would get 80's bud. Our fuel pumps are pretty damn good for stock. I'd start with the injectors first and then move on to the pump.
Try turning your AC on full blast and see if that keeps the car running in reverse

You may have broken something in the tranny then... Have you gotten any CELs for it yet? Same thing happened to me, except I had no 1st , 2nd , or reverse... lol

You wont see it from taking the pan off. You need to legitimately open the thing up in order to see if that's the same issue I have or not. Any CEL yet?

i think some may have skimmed the first post. yes the cobalts with the lsj have a good fuel pump, however the car in question is an HHR with a 2.2l. my guess is the fuel pump is weak, and i wouldnt consider a build like this without an upgrade.

get a bigger fuel pump.

You should have the fuel pressure system for anything over 12 psi on the 2.2...

Lol im the tuner. . Yes u need a pump because the stock pump dont flow enought. Ure issue with the reverse issue is i think the t.b or that flash gm did because it started doing it after we got it back from them. His idc is 60% at 7krpm. Hes a auto also low compression and his boost was up to 23-24lbs.. Hss hes running meth also i know hes running outta fuel since ive looked a his wideband going leaner then comanded with everything being on 100% his issue with the idle is somthing to do what i said before bout gm cuz it only does it in reverse or park. In d or anything else its fine. If u leave it in park and dont fiddle with it. Idles great. Once u move the shifter to reverse or somthing else then back to park itll lope like its still in gear. Rpm will drop even tho ive changes his air cylinder mass so it would be correct. Ltft are 100% on whwn i left. Plugs need to be changed cuz hes running meth and is on a tvs 2.6. .. ......
