TVS owners with phenolic spacers.

Hey guys I just wanted to know what you did with one of the sensors behind the TVS on the passenger side. I installed my Phenolic spacer today and the install was fine however I notice that the TVS used to hold down a sensor that sits right under the coolant hose. Now I installed the spacer the TVS sits higher and no longer holds that sensor down. I can hear it leaking air on idle and when I move it around the idle gets rough. My question is what did you guys do to combat this problem.

It can't straighten it out to align the bolt with the sensor hole because there is not enough clearance the TVS is too big. The only way the TVS fits on is if that sensor is sitting at an angle.

I use a bolt with a tab on mine. no phenolic spacer. but it worked just the same when i had a phenolic spacer, so not sure what you are unable to do.

the spacer moves the whole manifold/blower out. It doesn't move the blower off the manifold. I had to bore the plastic bolt hole of the sensor out to twist it CW in order to clear the blower.

Lol this and the post above. depends on your experience I guess. Most people really like them and Distillion on OCC monitors IAT's a lot and says it works. I trust Distillion.

I see what you're talking about but I can't really explain it lol It just doesn't sit on the sensor like before the spacer install.

its really important to note. the blower sits on the manifold with four bolts. the map sensor sits in a hole on the manifold under the blower. You can remove the im and attach the blower to it and walk ten miles away from the car, the blower/map sensor/inlet manifold stays the same

lol

something has changed but its not because of the phenolic spacer
