Made a change to my set-up and was making a tuning pull.. suddenly lost about half power..

It took a me a minute to figure out what exactly happened.. I wanna see your theories .. winner gets.... a cookie..

When i looked at the log that was my panic stricken thought... but no (whew)..

I even ran abck out to the car and started it to make sure it was running on all 4 cylinders..

 

bypass actuated too early due to tune not allowing past 12.5 psi just my guess anyway.

 

ecotec didnt kick in

 

 

Your VE airflow seems off ....

As for your power .... It went out the dipstick, haha.

 

Boost reduction in 2,3,4,5 gear past 6000rpms! lol

 

for what it's worth.. it still did a 60-100 in 6.2 seconds.. LOL.. even though it was down to 10psi at 100mph

 

What "change" did you make?

 

go do a 40-120 and tell me what you do it in. just curious.

 

75mm Pulley was the change..

Typical 60-100 is 5.4ish (before pulley drop).. i dunno about a 40-120 but i'll report back.lol

Anyway.. the dipstick popped.. and oiled the belt.. and .. oily belts don't hold boost very well as it turns out.. ;-)

 

Did your boost bypass valve **** the bed?

Or did you turn torque management back on in a sever way? lol
