Twin Charged Question????
Ok at the risk of sounding very ignorant!!
When these turbo balts come out other then a custom throttle body and most likely a stand alone unit what do yall think would be needed to add the new turbo to my ss/sc cause 1 way or another i am going to twin charge my balt.

It can be done without a custom standalone. You'll have to find at which pressures both the turbo and supercharger is most efficient at while providing reasonably sane boost and change to that size pulley and adjust the turbo's wastegate accordingly.

Man I have this book I just bought a couple of days ago where they twin charge a 2.0 with an M62 and they get it to work beautifully. Would anyone be interested in seeing this? I suppose i could scan the pages. It is a full instruction book on front to back twin charge on a 2.0 (non ecotec, i cant remember what motor they use) with an M62.....

You can also check out the Mini Cooper forums. I believe there are 2 retail kits that are offered for those guys which you can research that may help you in designing your own. Theres a local guy here with one and it sounds pretty bad ass on the road course.
this is about a year off from now so i can get the $$ in order and buy a cheeeeep junker car to drive while this thing is getting built.

Ill bring it to work tomorrow and scan the pages. They basically supercharged the car, got it to run right in the middle of its efficiency range, then took the supercharger off, added the turbo and got IT to run in its efficiency range, then added them both on the engine. It made like 350hp i wanna say on a very low tech 2.0. Id be willing to bet you could get 350 reliable hp out of a twincharge with the right supporting mods.
good looking out... ill check them when i have some time this evening

the LNF is directinjected(like a turbo diesel) which means like 20,000 psi fuel injector setup... good luck with poping your motor if you think you can get thats turbo to work on a SS/SC. do it custom like the twincharged RL above. or jus turbo it.
i can blow up anything. just give me 5 mins.
Direct injection has nothing to do with the turbo used. This is a confusing post.

Im saying it might be possible to just use a really small turbo. Like off of a stock VR4 or a TSI. You wouldnt have to spend 3K on the setup. You would just route the outlet of the turbo to the inlet of the super. The PCM should theoretically take care of the rest right? I mean it will just think the supercharger has a REALLY small pulley on it. The thing that would be nice about it is that you could just run the stock pulley on the M62 and get a real small turbo and have 300 reliable HP for a minimal cost. Im sure you could get a little turbo for like $100 or something. Someone chime in if I am completely off....

the only thing that concerned me was heat from the turbo but if 300whp is acheived with minimal heat thats all I wanted to get to in the first place. I have seen a few videos of these rare twin charged cobalts and it is uber sexy hearing a whine then a blow off valve.
