Twin charging....why?
Twin charging....why?
I have been reading the threads of guys who want to twin charge there cars. my question is why. it is hard to tune. the supercharger could because a restriction if you put a turbo on there. going all super or all turbo would be better to flow more air. i could see using the super to stop the lag but if you use a smaller turbo that will not be a issue
just some thoughts

The problem with using a smaller turbo to eliminate lag is that you still get a little lag and you also don't get the big power you would see with a big turbo. The theory behind twincharging is great. The best of both turbo and superchargers with out the downsides. In practicality though it hasn't worked out extremely well yet. Heat, under the hood space, and tuning become the main factors against the idea.
They will do what they want for MORE POWER! End of it...people will do anything for more power, even if it takes tons of tuning and only 3 runs down the track before it blows....just think, least your not doing it...would be pretty cool to see a big turbo on it though for more high end power, SC keep a lot of low end, I wonder what it would sound line, WAAAAAAAAH PSSSSSSH!!!!! so loud dogs will come runnin!

Because I want to and because I can and for the new guys I am building my engine (as we type) to withstand this kind of boost so it gets a lot more than 3 runs.
