Twin Screw vs Procharger
a T/s will make more than 300WHP i think you miss read his explanation, it'll make about 20% more HP than the stock m62, but it maxes out at about 400 less CFM than a c-1 blower... thus giving th procharger the ability to push out some higher numbers, a procharger is more of a whistle, and yes you can have a blow off valve...
u do know thats how u make more power.. to flow more air ... right?
Thanks
Just because the procharger pushes more air doesn't mean it's going to make more power then it. If we had a 1.6L whipple kit for us it would make 400 horsepower eaisly but that is with a built engine. I imagine it would make 300-330whp with stock internals.

C-1
7"
boosted HP:675hp
NA hp: 150-325hp
1000 CFM
24 psi max boost
haha you got to it before me...+1
it all depends on which system you use... that should've been obvious haha

It all depends on the pulley size and the pressure ratio. I mean each has thier bennefits and draw backs. The bennefit of the centrifugal is that it is more efficient the faster it spins meaning peak boost at max RPM. The downside is that it doesn't move air linearly meaning the boost is different depending on engine speed...unless you spin the wheel faster than you need to and then bypass the extra pressure.
The twin-screw builds boost linearly meaning once you have the pulley selected, it will make that amount of boost from idle to red line. Downside is it is always consuming hp and creating heat.
Both have internal compression which produces less heat than the roots.

Heres the scary thing. I made a paper replica of this blower using the dimesions from whipples web site. Checked under my car, and with the help of a custom sheet metal intake, this blower WILL fit under the hood, with the pulley in stock position.
Now you know why I'm building my internals so insanly...
So heres a question? what supercharger are they using for the Twinscrew? If I remember its only a 1200ax isnt it? I think any TS will fit under the hood the way are setup is. And A custom intake manifold would be great but its very expansive. But its very do-able.
Just think of the traction issue with 20 psi @ 3000rpm.
I may have to look at this a little better. How many would be interested in a custom manifold for a 2.2l kenne bell? Or a kit? Maybe that will be my next project after the procharger.

well gentlemen i just read 3 pages of information....i appreciate your thoughts and opinions on this TS Vs ProCharger....i thinks its great...i love competition and i thought about writing up a whole page of info but i figured i would not...simple and easiest way is to get the head unit on ChevyTech007 car and he will put down the numbers and vids and what other info you guys are wanting and let the product do the talking....
I think that is the easiest way to settle the debate...

I can't wait to see the results. I really want to see what ends up being the most efficient in the end. I personally like the characteristics of the positive displacement chargers, but I understand each has their ideal application.

for you guys who would miss the whine of a roots/twin screw if you went with a centri, the whistle of a centri at idle is just as cool......especially when you're at a red light next to someone with the "wtf is that" look on their face. but people telling you theres something wrong with your car every time you pull into a gas station does get old after a while.
both have their pros and cons. power under the curve vs. peak power, instant vs. linear, whine vs. whistle.......good luck with your decison.

Roots is not actually putting out boost (compressed air) into the engine. The psi is the pressure in the manifold. So the better you flow, the less psi you will see with a roots. Try that with the others.
