Twincharging

Sorry if this is a re-post, but i didn't find anything on it..
Do you guys think it's possible to build a custom twin charge kit using the stock components of the saab 9-3 turbo? I've recently found out that the saab uses the LSJ motor, so i think that there is definite possibilities.
Also, how many h.p.'s does the turbo LSJ make, and how much boost?

Anything is possible with cars if you have the money. Taking parts off a saab 9-3, youd have to be ready to adjust any piping cause not all parts could be interchangable. the 9-3 lsj is obviously a different set-up than the cobalt cause of turbo vs. supercharger.

Our blocks do come stock with forged parts, but without supporting modds for the added power from the turbo you'd be risking the life of your motor. (stronger pistons/rods/valve springs/retainers/ect...) safe boost would be around 6-8psi depending on your mod status

If you can get parts form a saab you'd have a head start but just be ready to build you motor up. hope I was some what helpful to ya

i think he was talking about 6-8 psi of boost from the TURBO alone, and then put on top of that whatever boost the supercharger makes...

You would be runing a very large pulley on the supercharger, and low boost on the turbo, with all the stuff you would have to fab up, just dish out the extra cash for an actaul kit, they are slowing making there way onto the market.
