Up-shift Light
Sorry guys if this is a repost but I used the search and it didn't turn anything up that helped me out...NE ways I was wondering if our cars (ss/sc) have the up-shift light because I see it on the guage face but I have never seen it light up!?
edit: Mine is an 07, not sure if that makes a difference seeing as how some things are different on the 07's.

why aren't they active...just made that way, and is there anyway to activate them? I find it funny they wouldn't have them active on the ss/sc when they put them on vettes and the higher end gm performance cars!
2.0's have the light but it's not used except for stage 3 ECM when the light is used, IIRC, to set your rev limiter.
non-2.0L's have the light and it is in effect all. the. *******. time. *grr*

A shift light is a total useless thing when they are set up like they are on GM vehicles. It tells you when to shift for fuel economy. It's useless. If it were set up for performance it would be ok, especially on the SC because first gear comes to the redline real quick.
Anyway, if you want to get one just get an interceptor. You can program it in at any RPM.

Yeah, i noticed that. Sometimes I let the car bounce off the limiter in second or third, so the guy behind me can see some pretty flames. Once in a while i get that light coming on, but only a quick flash.
only the 2.2s have the "econ" light.
actually my 06 light comes on not just for the "fuel economy" but right before youre about to hit the end of the gear/ redline it.
however in fourth gear, it does not come on as the govenor kicks in(107ish mph) at 5 grand.
