well i got the code read today and it was the po171 code sytem to lean. i had this code a long time ago when i put my intake in but when i got stage 1 it has been off ever since why would it come on now for after being off for so long. and when i left autozone the cel went off and hasnt been on since

denser air, which means your car will run slightly leaner.
Its not really a huge deal. its just our picky maf sensor.

which intake do you have btw?
if you have an oiled filter, i would consider picking up some MAF sensor cleaner and giving it a clean.
that can often help.

 

i have a k&n intake but not the k&n filter the filter i have on it is a aem dryflow filter and i've cleaned the maf before when i used to get the cel all the time and it didt work

 

Well then the filter won't be the problem since you have a Dryflow

He probably suggested cleaning the filter assuming you might have a oiled filter & that gets on the MAF sensor & makes it screwy
