Damn it! Well keep us updated on whatever is happening and hope everything turns around for your project. If my little investment hits off well then expect some coin donated to your site just hope I get it soon enough before it's too late

August Update
Well this month hasn't been a great month for the project. There are a couple of issues holding the progress back.
The first problem is the fact that the shop owner has some very serious health issues. Resnick is scheduled for a 12 hour surgery a week from today and this surgery is risky. Adding to that problem is Resnick being way to stressed and at one point he threatened to abandon the project. I really won't have any clarity on this issue until the middle of September, sooner if Resnick doesn't make it through surgery.
The second issue at hand is my own health. I have been dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck which has prevented me from working for the past 2 months. Sadly, my bills didn't stop coming in and I was forced to use the remaining project money. This means that any future progress will be done as I earn it.
Now for the little bit of progress that has happened I have attched some pictures. There are 2 pictures that shows the beginning of the porting on the Dart heads. The initial flow test has this head flowing 416 cfm's.
There is also one picture of the seats installed in the car. I had to go with this style of seats because the other style did not allow for my shoulders to fit between the upper bolsters. These seats work because there aren't upper bolsters. Somewhere down the road I hope to be able to add some red to the seats and perhaps the SS moniker to the head rests.
The last picture is of the wheelie bars attached to the car. The bars still need to be cut in length, about 4"s, to meet NHRA rules. This will make for a bit more of a wheel stand than I want but I'll deal with it when we get to that point.

My victory red ss has been giving me a lot of trouble lately with broken exhaust flex pipe, check engine lights, warped rotors, mystery wiring shorts, and dieseling on shutdown
Looking at Rods pictures makes me want to start cutting too

Nov. 2010 UPDATE
Today's update is good news but sadly it feels hollow for me because yesterday morning one of my special buddies, Angel (cat, 12 years old), died in my arms. I would have traded both of my Cobalts to have prevented her death.
UPDATE
Resnick is feeling better (major surgery) and has been doing some work on the car. A very important piece of the puzzle has arrived and it is in the following pictures. Who will be the first one to pick it out????
The postioning of most things has been done. The drysump kit is installed as is the oil cooler. The long road has been shortened some and it was really encouraging when I dropped by the shop today. Sadly the good news doesn't make up for the loss of my 'Little Buddy', so no indepth descriptions of the pictures. Angel and her 2 sisters have been with me through many ups and downs these past 12 years and I will always remember her.
